Get the name you’ve always wanted
![]()
Putting Answers to the side just for a moment we wanted to let you know some exciting news from Yahoo!7 Mail.
Remember when you went to sign up for your first email address, only to find that every conceivable variation of your name was already taken? So you were left with two options for your alias – using underscores and random numbers e.g. fred_blogs001234 or taking the creative road and thinking up something like hahafunnyguy@yahoo.com.au . The second option may have seemed like a good idea at the time, but then you realised that you’d be using your email address for all facets of your life – including emailing potential employers! Suddenly hahafunnyguy didn’t seem so appropriate now did it?
Well now’s your big chance to get that name you’ve always wanted. Yahoo!7 has today launched the new mail domain y7mail.com, which means if you’re quick you can sign up to have your own name – no underscores, no random numbers.
And the other great news is that it’s easy to transfer all your mail over from your old account – no matter what domain is was hosted under, and an email will automatically be sent to all your contacts letting them know your new email address.
Plus Yahoo!7 Mail gives you current temperature and weather forecasts for your city when you log in, and automatically connects you to Yahoo!7 Messenger. What more could you want!
Make the change! Here’s the link to the new Y!7 Mail.
Have a great weekend!
Yahoo!7 Answers Team

While catching up with friends from Perth over the weekend I was pleased to hear that they had been using Yahoo!7 Answers to get hold of some information that they weren’t able to track down elsewhere on the net. They were really pleased with how quickly they had a helpful answer and mentioned what a great time saver Answers can be.

When news breaks the way it did this morning everybody’s first reaction is disbelief.“Surely not!”
