Celebrity buns
Another day, another celebrity pregnancy announcement.
This time it’s our very own (I think it’s compulsory to call her that) Nicole Kidman. I wonder how many headlines have started rumours that she’s been pregnant over the years… this time it’s finally happening and good luck to her. The baby won’t be much younger than her best friend Naomi Watts’ bub – they can be celebrity baby playmates just like Suri Cruise and Gwen Stefani’s baby Kingston.
But Nicole is married and respectable so it’s hardly exciting – the pregnancy of Ms Spears Junior is far more scandalous and headline grabbing. Jamie Lynn is only 16 and confessed her situation to People Magazine before the rumours even began. The breaking news was followed by the announcement that her mother’s plans to release a book on parenting have been shelved. Perhaps grandparenting would be more appropriate!
In further pregnancy news Jessica Alba is well and truly on her way to motherhood – another surprise, as the previous rumour had been that she and boyfriend Cash Warren had split up!
Nursery stores in Hollywood will be rubbing their hands in glee – with junior Ritchie, Lopez and Aguileras on the way this year it’s just a baby fest… but for most of us the curiosity lies in waiting to see who will come up with the strangest name!
