Calling all Batman fans: Ask Christian Bale your question!

Tags: ,

BatmanBatman is back and it’s one of the most anticipated movies of the year. To celebrate the release of this epic film, we’ve partnered with Yahoo! Movies to bring a little Dark Knight frenzy to Answers.

We’re asking you, the Answers community, for the perfect question for Christian Bale, who plays Batman. The best question will be put to him, on your behalf, by Yahoo! and recorded on video.

So, what do you want to ask Christian?

When you’ve decided on your killer question, email the UK team y_answrs_team_uk@yahoo.co.uk. You have until Monday afternoon 5pm AEST to post your question; the best question will be answered by Christian on video next week and then posted on this blog.

All about Batman

In The Dark Knight actor Christian Bale brings to life Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, who’s fighting against the fearful Joker, played by the late Heath Ledger. Rumour is we see our hero cross the thin line between good and evil like never before…

If you need some inspiration, you could check out some of the questions that have already been discussed on Answers. There’s everything from Batman Comics to a discussion on the differences between The Dark Knight and previous Batman films and even a question about what you can learn from Batman.

Celebs on Answers

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen interesting and popular question from celebrities. Featured on Answers has been the likes of Cate Blanchett, Bruce Willis, and Natalie Portman. But this time, we’ve reversed the rules of the game so one lucky Answers member will have the opportunity to ask our celebrity a question.

Don’t forget to get your question in by 5pm Monday AEST by emailing the UK team y_answrs_team_uk@yahoo.co.uk. For more information on Batman and to preview the trailer, check the Yahoo!7 Movies trailer.

  1. Hey Christian

My question is, if you met the real Batman, would you tell him about all the movies about him, and that YOU play him? What would you say to him?

  2. Hey there :)
Just came back from watching The Dark Knight. It was fantastic, your acting I mean :D

    Heres the question:
Is that your real voice when playing Batman, the gruff deep one. If so, was it hard keeping that up in the movie?

  7. What was it like acting in the bulky batman suit, where you couldn’t turn your neck. To be honest, my friends and I had a laugh when we saw you had to turn your whole body to see who was standing beside you. So did you enjoy the first batman suit, or prefer the new-flexible suit.

  9. Mr. Bale, what have you learned from playing the role of Batman? Of Bruce Wayne?
And what impact have surrounding co-actors have on you?

  10. Christian,

My question is, in the process of making the movie, and for Batman Begins also, did you feel like you needed to summon your own inner emotions, whatever they may be, in order to accurately portray the character of Batman and to convey his dark personality? Or was it as simple as assuming his state of mind and using your acting skills to convince the audience you feel some connection to him? How mentally involved do you get with your character?

    Cheers

  11. do you think movies and entertainment distract us from becoming the heroes of our own lives, or do they inspire us to do so, by showing us ideas about lives that could be lived, adventures that could be had?

  15. Not really a fan, what was the main reason you took the role as batman. Do you think that as batman you are a good role model for children. I realise it is just fantasy but still; vigilante’s.

    Thankyou.

  16. Hi Christian,

I was wondering that when you’re in the batman suit and you’re not on screen, do you walk funny?

    Is it actually comfortable?

What’s the tightest part of the suit?

    Cheers, Mace

  17. hello,
I have read that there were over eighty examples of onomatopoeia collected from the original batman comics. So my question is, when you are all made up in your batsuit, fighting the Joker, getting in the zone, have you ever just wanted to exclaim POW!, ZANG!, AIEEE! or even Z-Z-ZWAPP!!! ?

  18. Hi there!
Batman movie was great, saw it yesterday. Your acting was amazing :D

    My question is:
When you were playing the actual Batman, was it your voice, the deep gruff one? If so, was it hard to keep that up through the movie?

  21. This is a hard question…
Heath Ledger was one of the other major roles in The movie,
Even after the tragic event of his death, the movie is seen as a tribute of his final works,
Do you see it like this or as something completely different, irrelevant to The events of his life?

  22. The first film I saw you in was “Anastasia: The mystery of Anna” How was it like playing Tsarvitch Alexei Romanov? Especially as his an ill child who met a horrible death. Was it hard to play him?

  23. Hi Christian.

I have a question about the actor Heath Ledger.

If Heath Ledger had not passed away, do you think he would have had the same chance as winning an emmy as all the rest of the actors?

  26. If you would really be the real Batman, what would you be doing supposing you were invited to a dinner party with the queen where you would get loads of money but the Joker was doing all these attacks? Would you go for the money or save the people?

  28. Hey,
I was curious as to how you went from being a little over a hundred pounds in the machinist (which is an awesome movie) to bouncing back and gaining 70 pounds of pure muscle mass in begins.
