the problem with the world today is that people are to greedy.We all have aquaintences and family who are doing it both hard and easy.It does amaze me that the banks, the govt, the landlords and wealthy all scarpper when theres trouble but first in line to collect when theres a freeby or hand out.Greedy Greedy Greedy.Im 54 years of age and are still waiting to see a herse with suitcases on top of the coffin. Take a look at yourselves, one day it might be you or a member of your family who needs a hand. Greedy, greedy,greedy.

Yes, I believe our goverment should do more for the elderly and disability, as I have both of them. However, giving a little coffee money to show some support to people in disaster is a good deed… for your later generations. I was thinking of going to bank to donate 2morrow, but that’s sick if they takes % off the donation, I will have to find a another org that trust-worthy.

well its a fine line isnt it yes we do need to help our own but their is help out their if sourced for the elderly , disabled ,and the homeless .we need to look at the life style we have and how we would feel if we were struck by a disaster of this catagory through no fault of our own,so dont feel bad about donating even a little,then you could start a charity at home here to help our people in need ?

I also like other people in Australia would like to donate, however im under 18 years of age and i tried donating through the unicef organisation but it says that i need to be over 18 to donate. I’ve read all the comments on this page and found out that some doesnt even want to donate and states that the government is wasting money on those poor disadvantage people in Haiti, I think that since we live in a country where technology is vast and that we have centres such as centerlink to give us money, why not help those who are less fortunate who doesnt even have proper meals everyday. Nor medicine, clothes and a house to live in.
